Burdock Root, detoxes blood, skin and lymphatic system
Burdock is a root vegetable native to Northern Asia and Europe, which now grows in the U.S. Burdock has been used for centuries in holistic medicine to trear a variety of conditions.
Burdock root contains powerful antioxidants such as quercetin, luteolin, and phenolic acids. These protect cells in the body from damage due to free radicals and reduce inflammation.

Kinpira (sweet & savory) Burdock root and carrot recipe
Sauce mixture:
1/3 cup water
2 tbs of Braggs organic coconut aminos
1 tbsp mirin
Other ingredients:
Two 15 inch sticks of burdock root
1 medium carrot julienned
1 tbs avocado oil
1/2 tsp sea salt
1 tsp toasted sesame oil
toasted sesame for garnish
Heres what you’ll do:
1. Wash burdock root to remove dirt. Partially remove skin from burdock (leave some on for flavor). Slice thin and diagnal (abour 2 inch length). Cut them into thin sticks.
2. Soak thinnly sliced burdock root in water for 2-3 minutes to remove scum and harsh taste. Rinse again and drain and dry and set aside.
3. Prepare the sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
4. Heat frying pan on high heat with avocado oil. Add burdock root and carrot once pan is hot. Add salt and cook for 3-4 minutes. Reduce heat if burning.
5. Reduce heat to medium-low and add the sauce. Cook for about 5-6 minutes until liquid is reduced. Burdock should be tender but with a bite, cook longer if you prefer more tender and add water if nessesary.
6. Top of with sesame oil and mix
7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve
Can be enjoyed and room temperature and even more delicouse from the fridge the next day!!!
